question: Just came across a really good deal for the complete series of DS9 ... I have the entire TNG series and that is all the trek I've really seen (besides one DS( ep and like 5 Voyager) ... is DS9 good? Worth shelling out some $$$?

I liked DS9 but thought it got much better after the first 2 seasons so if you only watch one of those don't let it put you off (if indeed it did :D ). Over in England each of the seasons was nearly £70 when they came out so I never picked it up but if its a good deal I would get it. Hope that helps??? :D

I reckon DS9 is the better of the all the trek series mainly for its continuous story, plus i really love the characters. Voyager to me was teh worst of the series, and i wouldnt even shell out for that, here they even split a couple of seasons to make into 'new' seasons to try and get the extra buck.

For dvd production the original trek series is amazing, they have remastered everything and it looks fantastic and probably has the better special features discs out of all the treks, this set was done with a lot more love.

  12. sweet biz ... looks like I'll be headed out tomorrow to pick em up. Props gents!

Wow, thats a good price. Just done a quick check on Play.com and you can get seasons 1-7 for £199 including delivery so thats about £28.50 each. Which seems good if you've got the cash but otherwise its about £67 per season (if bought separately).
