    Oh man, that's gotta suck. After decades of perfect sight, my eyesight is just now starting to get a little iffy up close. I recently bought my first pair of reading glasses. :(

    Can't have that now, can we?

    I've been lucky so far this summer, no brown outs. Occasionally we get some big winds, 60 - 70 mph, and it's almost guaranteed that the power goes out. The power lines get all twisted up and shit and transformer blows. Usually takes an hour or more to get power restored.
