    Nov 11th is generally considered a day to remember all the dead of war, on both sides, and civilian dead. End of World War I (ish) - 11am, November 11th, 1918.

    The new date was specifically a `military dead` date. They just built a big new memorial, and they add all the dead from the last year to be unveiled on the new date.
