Unfortunately, it's probably not gonna happen this summer.

I got his PM at about 3 am local time, went back and forth for a few messages. I was relieved to hear from him, and at the same time I knew the news would be what it was. So sad. He said he made a thread in the mods forum, so I asked him if I could post a chunk of our conversation in the GF for the benefit of others who may want to send well wishes. Kieks is an awsome dude. He was very helpful with my questions when I first signed up and has always been a source of laughs. I look forward to his return.

Keep in mind my friend, I'm older than thou, and have been enjoying Metallica since day one. There was a time when they didn't want their shit played on the radio (and didn't need it). They always said they'd never "sellout". But, alas...they did. The first time I heard a "remix" of "ONE", I almost slashed my own throat, and it only went downhill from there.

Unless you aren't aware of "Kill Em' All, Ride The Lighting, Master of Puppets" etc.....you can't tell me the new shit compares to that classic charge of tunes dude!
