Thanks for asking, Kieks. Yes, doing very well though have been extremely busy, both at work and otherwise. Planning on a major ride tomorrow as the weather here has turned great after several days of vicious thunderstorms.

I always loved the sax, but I had little $ when young. My first guitar I found broken in a trash pile, took it home and fixed it. It was not a good guitar, but it got me hooked. We had a piano that I learned to play by ear and watching others, but once I started with the guitar the piano days were over.

My oldest son took sax lessons for about 3 years, but he has no musical talent - none, nada, zip. I was really disappointed when I found out he had hocked the sax I paid for to support his drug habit. I wanted to fiddle with it as I bet I could have learned to play it well, not professionally, but just for my enjoyment.

Tom Petty was a normal kid in elementary school. Normal student and descent at sports in recess. He never played on any of the organized sport teams like little league baseball or tiny mite football. Just a normal boy. He went to a different jr high school than me and by the time we met up again in high school he was well into is rocker weirdness. I don't think he got a legitimate HS diploma and the official records have him graduating a year after me, a year late.

Yea, I paid about $1,500 for it. I always sacrificed for my kids. I am sure he only got $100 or so for it. He feels bad about it now, so I never bring it up. Such is life for a parent. :2cent:

Sorry to hear about your kid's lack o' skills my friend. I have the utmost respect for anyone with a child now. Trying to raise them proper has got to be ignorant.
