    Nowhere threatened now.

    I went to University in south/central Canada in a city that got flooded to high hell 10 years ago. They are about to get it again. Back then, I was actually stopped by the police and forced to join a crew making sand bag walls. It was insane.

    Back in Canada, yep. Lived in the USA for a few years (again....I do that now and then). Looking like I'll be here for a few weeks, then off to Portugal, Brazil and Tanzania for half the summer. No snow there lol.

    Hopefully awesome.......none of the job sites are particularly nice, but my fingers are crossed. Tanzania is always a pain in the ass......hard to travel there without getting messed with.

    lol.....I wish. My job sounds awesome in stories, but it's rarely glamorous. The 2 mines (Tanzania/Brazil) are shitholes, and the work in Portugal is years over budget and managed by incompetent fools. I think the best I can hope for is coming out of the summer malaria and lawsuit-free.

    I'll get some good pictures, though :)

    Not my mines. I mine nothing. I help find mines, and anything else in the ground or water. Pollution, land mines, sunken ships, etc.

    These jobs aren't very interesting: just measuring some rock properties so the mine engineers can plan some mine/surface construction.

    "Chump" is the short form. "Sucker" is a bit longer, but more descriptive. I tend to go with "Environmental Consultant".
