Ah, you can go to University or Tafe after High School here. I filled in the paper work wrong for my Uni application so I got a job.

The batter is just flower, buttermilk, salt, pepper, and a touch of butter. If you extra thick crust add an egg to the batter, it makes it stick to the chicken better. Then when you get through with the chicken pour most of the grease off, leave just enough to cover the bottom of the skillet then add flower to the grease. Brown the flower-grease combo. Remove from the stove and add sweet milk, salt, and pepper - stir till the gravy thickens. Whal-ah - southern fried chicken and gravy. You want me to tell you how to cook buscuits now?

Five years in a uniform, then two sans. Oh, they were good years; the power, the awe with which first years took in the sight of you, being able to walk through places strictly verboten for `uniforms`.

My favourite was walking `up` the `down` stairs and vice versa. (We had this three-storey block with stairs at either end, and to avoid problems, one flight was up and the other down, except at the end of the day. Walking against the flow of a bunch of mewling first-years was probably one of the highlights of our day. :mrgreen

Oh, christ; it all changed when i was in school.

Infant school for 2 years from 5, junior for 4 years, then high school for 5 plus two.

When i arrived at High School, i was a first-year. Next year, i was Year 8. :wink:

Whilst Sixth Form is now years 12 and 13, the lexicon hasn't, and probably won't, shift, so it's still Sixth Formers.
