Never been. Ill have to fly out there and drive her stuff back over here. What area were you in? She is in the oklahoma city area, about 30 or so miles out.

Im not looking forward to a flight. Not that it will be soon. She still has to sell her house out there. I have a tendency to dwell on forthcoming occurrences.

 

I've driven through the state north to south and back again going to and from Dallas from Chicago via OKC. I've heard portions of the state are scenic, but it's one of the bread basket states so most of it is relatively flat. Perfect for tornadoes.

I love to fly. I love looking at the topography of the land below.

 

Yea....she had a couple tornadoes touch down in the area since shes been out there. She complains about the heat a lot too.

I have flown many times. Most of my trips were when I was younger. I find that I am much more cautious and apprehensive as I get older.

 

Oklahoma is hot in the summer, true. And cold as fuck in the winter.

Flying isn't exactly an extreme sport.

 

I know.
I just think about all the things that could go wrong. Not much you can do if you get into trouble up there. I fucking over analyze everything. I hate unknown factors. I try to plan and/or predict possible scenarios.

Yes, she will definitely sell it. There really is no reason for her to be way out there. She had a heart attack a few months ago. It really put the distance into perspective.

I suppose she is looking forward to it. She has two grandaughters here, who she hasnt seen much of. My house is anticipating it.

 

She'll love being near the granddaughters!

 

Yea, I think it will be good for her. She never really connected with us kids when were younger. She lived a fast paced life. She regrets that. This could be her second chance to have a close bond with the kids.

 

What put her on a fast pace in her life? A job?

 

Honestly? Chasing men. She craved a mans love.

Yea there were 5 of us. We moved around a lot. We looked out for each other as best we could. I went back and forth between her and my father. Really didnt like either option much. So I left as quick as I could

 

It sounds like you sunk down some good roots for your family and came out of it really nicely, Maj.

 

I suppose. Honestly, it was never my thing to set down roots. I owe that to the wifey. She has been patient beyond belief. She is very family oriented and it has made an impression on me. I bitch about it at times, but im thankful, truly.
