The NEW 2001pm - Phun Random Chat Thread!

I do have one odd story i can share. My older cousin borrowed an album for me of a local Swedish rap metal band (Clawfinger mostly known for a song that is named with the N-Word). Anyway he was listening to it in his car and the stereo decided it was time to die apparently. The CD was jammed inside so he send it too a Company in Stockholm. They actually managed to retrieve the CD, but they sent me the wrong CD. My cousin said he could by me a new one but i said i might as well listen to this for me unknown band called Metallica it sounded cool when i said their name. And the rest is story as they say.

 

Interesting story indeed Flip. Not a metal fan but I definitely recognize the impact Metallica has made. I do like 2 of their songs, Enter Sandman and One. I realize the black album was considered one of their weaker offerings.

 

you could compare Clawfinger with Rage Against the machine its basically the same thing. Angry young men that want to get back at society. RATM is way more versatile in their Music though, Clawfinger was more basic.

 

Maj i wish i could say that i like all Music that is out there, and sure there are other things out there that isnt so bad but the bottom line is when i was down in the gutter in high school i found Metal. It was other kindred spirits out there that also was mad as hell on various things and they werent afraid to share it.

 

The black album is a bit of a mixed back and it was a departure from the more speedy earlier albums to the later ones that emphazised more on heavier sound but also slower songs. I like the earlier albums.

 

When i was in school i had The Black Album, when we needed to test some amps we build i did bring some cd's to school. The Black Album was with the cd's, when i wanted to play it later when i got home i couldn't find the cd. So i told in school the cd was stolen and i got money for a new cd from school. Later a neighbour girl came to me, she borrowed cd's of me, and she gave me my Black Album cd. She forgot to return it in the box

 

a small taste for you Merlin. I dont find them as good as i did in my youth. Not bad but very very basic stuff and a bit repetitive. Then again that is rap metal for you.

Like a lot other music as well. Dutch music, house, techno and that kind are not my kind of music
