The new newscast had just ended, so I think you're right.

 

I want the reporter to be my next wife.

 

I think the biggest fire I have seen was when the SAE house burned down in about 1970....a fraternaty house that was very old, wooden, 3-stories, built out of heart pine. They could not put it out as the hot, fatty pine kept reigniting. Deep orange flames were about twice as tall as the building with thick black smoke. There was virtually nothing left and the Fire Marshal could not make any determination as to the cause of the fire....electrical issues was suspected. I watch the whole thing from less than 200 feet away from up in an oak tree. Just across the street of a major roadway (University Avenue). I was in Gym practice in Florida Gym when the word came out that the SAE house was on fire and it was big.

When I went inside for the last time, I stopped to shake the hands (wet gloves) of 4 firefighters standing near me for the job they do. They appreciated it.

 

one of my neighbors burned down an old house a few weeks ago.. pretty big fire.

 

Does he have a place to live?

of course, it was an old building that wasn't livable any longer, his "normal" house is a bunch of meters away

The Rolex 24-hours at Daytona ended about 2pm this afternoon....since then it has just been college mens/womens basketball. I will not watch the NFL Pro Bowl tonight. There is nothing more boring to me than that.

 

I agree about the Pro Bowl!

 

Things will begin to crank up in a week or so at Daytona with various stock car stuff....
