    My paint store person told me he could match my paint needs based upon the name of the standard color that I had bought from them before. But, alas, he lied. The real bummer is that I had replaced door trim and could have saved a piece of the old trim for the to color match, but because they said they did not need that, that all got thrown out. So now I had to remove the top framing on the doorway in my room to get a sample to take to them tomorrow....I am pissed and drinking. :cheers:

    I'll make a long story short about paint. My building used Glidden during construction. Two years later, they changed the formulation, no match, by name. Sherwin Williams, the recent paint vendor, tried a match by name. No luck. Went through dozens of swatches and a couple of pints of samples, no avail. Totally repaint now top to bottom.

    To add insult to injury, even though it has been cloudy and misty, we have only gotten 0.14 inches of rain total in three days. But, what the hell, I ain't dead yet though I may smell like it. :shock:
