Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     Our temp is going to drop 25F to near freezing tonight. It's like a roller coaster here.

    EDIT: In one week that's a 55F shift!

    I guess the latest news is that there is no bad news. It seems the team of doctors are still in negotiations/consultations in an attempt to determine what to do from here forward. There is some talk about some "clean up surgery" as the size of the infection is large and close to the bone.....and there is some discussion to just continue monitored home administration of the IV antibiotics. The later of the two would require a IV shunt be placed in my neck area that I would use to self administer the IVs.

    That is all I know at this point and it is beginning to look like at least tomorrow before a plan is finalized and I am so informed.

    They just removed both of my IV shunts, one in the back of each hand, and replaced one in a new location on my forearm. The vessels at the two older locations were "tired." They waited as long as they felt comfortable as they know about the possibility of the shunt to be installed in the neck area and wanted to avoid having to impale me a third time. :lol:

    well you've been through surgery before. I didn't like my 2nd one. lol but yeah.

    I did the home IVs. It was an interesting experience. Then I had to have the surgery anyway. You can only wait for their recommendation...

    My only objection to surgery is being put to sleep....seems every time they do that a little more of my brain dies.
