Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    "Garmin elevated Installer has encountered a problem and needs to close". That is the error message I get. The site says my maps are updated, but my GPS device says it is not. :dunno: I attempted a reinstall and still get the same message. I did get the necessary things taken care of today to allow me to log in. Initial registration was in April of 2008 and my email addy has changed, etc. so I was blocked from logging in. Their tech support got me thru that. They said to call them back if I continued to have problems. Once logged in, it ran a diagnostics and said I needed to add or update several support programs which I did, but still no go.

    It did successfully update the operating software on my GPS.....so I guess it is not a total loss. :lol:

    I'm fighting the urge to upgrade to the newest Mac OS version that was released today. I know I definitely need to do a full a backup and should probably wait a few days for reviews in case of any app compatibility horror stories. But, that itchy mouse finger is hovering over the upgrade button testing my will.

    I bought a life time road map update in June of 2009....updated then, but not since. That is what I am having issues with. Will be working with Tech support tomorrow with Garmin. It has been a great GPS system which has Blue Tooth that allows me to get audio direction well in advance via my ear piece that I wear under my helmet.

    I am not sure what you mean, PM. The routing software is very flexible....you can select the types of roadways you prefer and it automatically establishes a route. If that does not satisfy you, you can adjust the route to your liking, which I do regularly as I like to ride different country roadway when I can.
