I agree on everything, this bickering is far from new

I don't get why anybody cares what others do though. If "A" is happy with his work & gets appreciated here then why would "A" care about "B"?

OK, How about from another perspective such as the starting point? Could the majority of people at least see where the creator is starting from?

I realize the simplest thing to do is probably to just not have people respond to posts. Just use the Thanks button. I like this thread (and I admit I do suck at clicking "Thanks") and it's a shame when people leave because they get tired of arguing.

My last suggestion is that established x-rayer's be allowed to start their own threads and their "fans" can follow those threads.

So in your opinion the better idea is to waste time arguing and chasing people away that support their work instead of ignoring and keeping the thread a positive one?

CT & X are the cream of the crop in my opinion (& it seems most) & that is obvious

Its like having a great restaurant on one corner that has better business & better quality food wasting time arguing with the restaurant a few doors down about their ingrediants & how they are not "authentic" italian food ...... lol

All it does it take away from their own business and scare away customers :2cent:

Personally I dont care about the arguing bc I scroll down past 90% of the time but its getting insane with the pettiness

Thanks to all the xray-ers for contributing to the thread though :beerchug: your effor(s) are appreciated

I'd rather chase away the fakers.. ignoring them doesn't work, they continue to post fake crap and even get a few thanks from people that don't realize they are faking it (Although how anyone can't tell is another story)

thats a problem in society today.. people want to ignore issues and "hope" they go away. IMHO it is better to point it out and make it an active issue when ever it happens.. eventually the fakers will leave. And if so called "Fans" are going to be chased away by the ACTIVE method of dealing with fakers, then let them leave.. Anyone that considers it petty to try to protect the integrity of something you are passionate about, doesn't deserve to participate anyway...

Personally, I'd rather not chase anyone off, but have them be able to actually show the hidden details that are present in some pictures and keep the thread what it was intended to be. I think fakes have their place, but this isn't it. When people post fakes or imagined images here, it takes away from the efforts of those that responsibly keep to the ideals of a true x-ray or enhanced image, as then everyone thinks the process is just faking or drawing it in. Showing the progression just helps people see what you've seen and how you got to the finished product, just like when you used to have to "show your work" doing complex math problems in school.

Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to get to the bunch of images that have been stacking up this week.

Its a bit much to compare society's issues to a freakin' nude celeb board lol
If anything a bigger issue in society is people making too big of issues of things
Realize what you are "passionate" about and how non-important it really is man - no offense

Is there a limit to how many xray'ed images someone can post. I ask because only 1 of 3 has appeared in this forum.

do you mean you requested three pics but only one was done?
if so then it is because the x-rayer chose which was the best pic to use or the other two weren't suitable.

Guess it would be helpful to get some feedback why some images make it passed the screening while others don't. The xrays that didn't get posted were one of Kate Beckinsale and the other was of christina Aguilera. Both well over 18 years of age. Perhaps it was because they were done by others...Oh well...

Some photos not making good x-rays would be the most logical reason. Second, they may have already been done. Most importantly, suggestions (rather good candidates) are welcome but, x-ray producers work on subjects of their choice, not by requests. Another reason..if a subject has already been seen topless, it becomes rather pointless to create an x-ray when one can see a completely unobstructed view elswhere.

If you want to know what makes a good candidate regardless of who she is, the garment in the source image must have some level of transparency. Without that, a true x-ray cant be made, only a fake.

    Obviously.... :p

I'm not clear on the rationale for excluding reproductions of images previously xray'ed. Is there not something to be said about examining an individual's technique and comparing quality of people's work?

No problem there... I'm an artist. My work is my own and isn't limited to xraying.

I disagree. As stated in my response to the second point, xraying images is an art in the way we are using technique to manipulate an image to make it much more than itself. To censor an image because the lady as appeared nude elsewhere demeans the art and suggest that the individuals making contributions no different than dudes who purchase stacks of Playboy magazines just for the girlie pictures.

Furthermore, if an existing nude of an actress or model is the benchmark that leads to excluding an xray'ed image, we will all have to cease posting new xray'ed images of anyone that has been xray'ed as well because we have already seen what lays underneath. However, as we all know, this venue has featured several ladies numerous times. JLH has been xray'ed countless of times, as well as, have a few nip slip images discovered. Does this mean we have to stop using her image an a medium?
