came across the below pix whilst surfing the net...wondering if there's anything good for the x-ray masters to do

Thanks - I felt like that was the best one of the bunch. I don't like to do repetitious stuff, and that took a couple hours to finish, so no, I don't plan on doing any more from that series. Unfortunately none of the close-up shots were lit the right way to get good results.

I'd suggest you get PhotoShop and follow the posted tutorials, then you can do all the ones you want to see done yourself.

c through ... on that enhanced gellar pic... i notice it has a real shiny glow. to it.. was that just by chance lighting... or did you use a filter... render lighting .. shiny or just lots of glaussian blur..

i always like when you can get that effect.. but every pic is different.. and i think the lighting plays a big part in getting that effect.. and fabric i guess

Ray, I don't use any filters, blurs, or rendering - just the basic brightness/contrast & hue/saturation/lightness controls to start, then it's usually just a matter of colorizing & selectively lightening & shadowing. In the case of where the dress wasn't over her body I just desaturated and brought down the contrast to make it blend in with the background and effectively disappear.

I think it's the fabric color and lighting mostly since it was a black dress, it needed to be brightened up a lot, and a bunch of contrast added to bring out the details. As you can see by the subtle ripples left from the fabric, that it's not a heavily processed finish, just mostly colorized. If you use too many tricks, you tend to lose a lot of that fine detail instead of bringing it out. Ideally the picture shouldn't look too washed out or blurred when you're done.

I am not detecting a bra on JLH in any of the pictures in this thread.

Hopefully some good can some of that.

 

Already tried them - nothing coming through for me - material isn't thin or transparent. I thought I saw a very slight nipple bump in one of them, but not enough to draw any real conclusions.
