The Attention Deficit Disorder Thread

My opinion of those books is they are very good! Dark and twisty and you almost never figure out who the killer is before the end. I've read them before, it's my second turn now.

 

I can't read a book more than once these days.....I used to as a kid......now I just can't......it feels redundant.... although I know it isn't.

 

I read so many that I forget what happened in most of them.

 

I always suspected you of doing that.

Yes.....and not analyzing.

 

You analyze all the books you read?

 

Of course......but then again I am studying Literature to a large extent so....it sort of bares that I do.

 

Can you still simply enjoy the story and let yourself be entertained?

 

That's what my mother asks.....sort off....she just says "why can't you just enjoy?".


But it's both really.....on one level you just enjoy and in the background you find yourself noticing themes, narrative patterns, references and so forth.


I'm sure you do it too.....you just don't realize it.

Did any of you ever have your IQ tested ?

 

No.....it's like you've already walked around the town a million times only without knowing the names of the streets and buildings.

 

I have.....online....so I'm not sure I trust the results that much.....plus I did it on a few sites....all varied.

 

I like the idea of me secretly being a genius better.

 

My IQ equals my waist size.

Those online IQ tests are all a bunch of hooey anyway...

There is no answer to that won't lead to yelling, is there...
