I actually don't know how much exactly I pay. It's being taken right off my salary along with taxes.
If your salary is very high, you are required to get a private health insurance, which I hear is pretty expensive. The healthcare is excellent, although you have to pay extra for many things nowadays; about two decades ago health insurance still covered everything.

 

I think the US is trying to go in a similar direction. Lots of people are whining about it, but it is probably better for the majority of people.

People who are unemployed or earn not enough money don't have to pay for it. People who earn money should be able to deal with paying a monthly amount for their own health. I'd say that for a lot of people even going to see a doctor would not be possible without health insurance.

 

A few times a year, when we go sell our selfmade stuff on arts and crafts markets.

What kind of self-made stuff?

 

Handmade clothes and cute gifts stuff.... two of my co-workers make clothes and other sewn things with their clients and I have a workshop for making little wooden gifts, or we paint glasses etc.
