I just realized I don't know how old you are. Or if I did I totally forgot. More and more senior moments these days.

Yeah man, I feel for you. I was taking care of my grandma for a few weeks and it's certainly a stressful strain. :|

 

It's only just begun. I am now the official parental caregiver... No more carefree lifestyle. I have to be here for them 24/7 from here on out. I've been anticipating it for the past decade or so but theory is much different than reality.

Oh damn... didn't know you're doing the official caregiver thing. I looked into that for my grandma so my uncle would be the caregiver. Hopefully the additional money helps to take care of your parents' needs.

Don't you have other siblings tho, Scribe? Couldn't they lend a hand? And if this gets too personal, no biggie.

Yeah I got siblings, we're all in it together, but I'm the one who lives in Vegas with my folks. It's all good.

What's really neat about Marvin was that his career spanned the entire R&B age - from the early 50's to his stardom in the 60's and then to his gentle but introspective protest years in the early 70's. It's quite sad not just how he died but the family circumstances that led to his death.
