    I think because you play guitar you have a greater appreciation for musicianship.

    I was watching a Mexican variety show on Univision one day and the musical guest was a guy popular in Norteno (Mexican country music more ore less) and Mariachi, the crooners in the fancy suits and big sombreros. His band was playing live, which is unusual for Mexican TV. Any way the hosts were asking him about his musical influences (he's a guitarist) and he said Pink Floyd. And then the band broke into Another Brick in the Wall and just tore it up. I was really impressed and the audience went fuckin nuts.
    He called Hugh Hefner a 'reluctant pornographer.' :lol:

    i think i like this music because i was raised by my father, he had me listening to blues my entire life and I just happened to like it, then when i got older i started looking for other stuff i liked, i succumbed to some peer pressure and listened to some rap in high school but learned pretty quick it wasnt for me:)

    Jason Becker, i havent known about him very long but good lord, i think about the stuff he wrote at age 18 and its just insane, but he hasnt been able to play since he was 21 or something, i cant imagine him being considered anything less then one of the all time greats if he had been putting out albums his whole life

    It's cool your pops turned you on to good music. I was ding the same with my daughter. She really liked Jeff Beck. People would ask her what her favorite music was, thinking she might say something little kids liked listening to and she'd say BB King! The look on peoples faces would be priceless. :rofl:
