a lot of stuff is biodegradable, but i think i see your point. the point he made was if they burred there dead we would bump into at least one by now.

im going to think it would be rare for a tribe to use human bones for much outside of trying to freak the shit out of the other tribes. and ill bet that worked a bit.

say 10 thousand , some cave walls have writing on them from that far back easy.

but at some point something has to be taken as an understanding.
like if a story is found in one tribe about teh great flood. and then another un related tribe half way around the world, well that puts a bit of merit to the great flood story.

now i have no idea if that is the case i was just using it as an example.

well we seem to be in agreement tat it is at least plausible that more than one tribe cared for there dead this way. but probability of more than just a hand full is unlikely?

ill agree that not many were known for having written language, but what im finding is there weren't many
period.
and all of them evolved at a much different pace. but that being said, very little is left behind from those cultures.
