you know i dont like them that much, i used to pick them when i was 14 years old for a farmer. i would wake up at 5:30 (no idea why) and be at the farm at 6. (normally i would not eat breakfast) and then for teh next 6 hours pick radishes and spinach. the radishes i did not like becouse they tasted bad that early, but the spinach i loved, that stuff is great right out of the field

Wow, that sounds amazing...I always wanted to work on a farm....it sounds like good simple work....the sort that fulfills the soul.

i think i appreciate it more now than then. i was very young and stupid. i just wanted to play with the pickup and had to sneak bits while i picked.

i do remember how annoying it got that each time i flipped the spinach over cold morning dew would run down my arm. it bugged me.

I've worked on farms in the past. There's a certain satisfaction you get from working the land that lasts about 2 weeks, at which point it just becomes a physically intensive job. I wouldn't want to try to make a living at it however, unless there were large government subsidies involved.
