    Zappa loved to write about the strange minutia that consumed the every day life of us humans. It’s just a catchy, well produced song about dental floss embellished into the bizarre. I actually interviewed him a few months after this vid was filmed. Got to speak with him a few more times in the 70’s. He was brilliant, a workaholic, and didn’t use drugs. Also, he got more poon-tang than any of us could imagine.

    well that does help, ive been listening a lot to his music of late, i would say your right, he loved to poke fun at how serouse we take it all.

    i as wondering did he hate main stream music becouse he seemed to often just give it an awful time. or is that just how i read him.

    Re: Zappa. He loved 50's do-wap type music. But cheesy commercial crap - yeah, especially in the 70's, was a pretty easy target. Poking fun at his rock stars contemporaries was no big deal, after all he was pretty damn funny. He kind of parodies himself on a Monkees episode, and got Ringo Starr to play along in 200 Motels.

    Re: Zappa. See if you can find the book "No Commercial Potential" Out of print, I'm sure. Written in the early 70's, it gives various peoples insights into Frank, both positive and negative.
