Niece: * erase everything, start to make new notes*

Me: Ok *looking frustrated* is it Ok if I stop here, is getting late I don't feel like drawing anymore.

Niece: Can you finish it tomorrow? *make a begging face*

Me: Maybe, don't promise anything.

Niece: Ok

Me: *exits*

 

haha that is just great. You try too make it look good but make errors along the way because you dont want too make them.

Oh, I'm a kind of perfectionist, she is lucky she ask for a girl, and she wanted a cartoon like, because as she says, I draw things that looks like real life, and she likes cartoonish better. If she asked for an animal, I would probable had try a couple times, get frustrated of doing anything resembled what it is and crushing the paper and giving up. I rather erase everything and giveup than do something that I would think I could not come even close to do it.

Also, I forgot the smily face at the end when she says Ok, as is what she did.

long ago i used to draw stuff, i really enjoyed it. i had an art teacher that wanted me to pursue it. the only thing i took away from his teachings was he told me, "never erase a mistake until the correct line is drawn, dont be afraid to draw a bunch of lines, then erase the ones that dont fit, even if that means taking half of one and half another.

his idea was that you cant always sort what is supposed to look like until you see what its not, then lay down the corrected and remove the first drafts.

i use that method if i draw, which i do very rarely. and becouse drawing is something of a perfected art, i really suck at it now.

but just thought i would say.

well ive been bein mr trumps assistant, he sent me home to work on some stuff, so ive been doing that here, and i have a few movies im thinking about doing. another surfer movie with that kid, kano reams or something, he was a great kid. yea im thinking of doing point break 2 the pointless rage.
i think ill be great in that role.

 

That is what I do. I make a line around it and erase what I don't like, I keep doing that until I'm satisfied. I never knew it was exactly what I should do. I guess I have good instincts. Just need some better coordination, know any tricks for that?
