Somehow, the words "the abyss" don't really go with the pic you used for your sig. It's like a contradiction. :33:

 

How so?

 

I always think of an abyss as being deep and dark, either literally or figuratively. That, and it's pretty much the definition of the word too:

1 n: the bottomless gulf, pit, or chaos of the old cosmogonies
2 n: an immeasurably deep gulf or great space

 

Does that make the image even more intriguing...like there is more to it than you see....like the cascading blooms are hiding something under their steams and what you see is really a deceptive facade.

Maybe the "deep gulf" is just metaphorical.
