That's such a shame.

Here you have to pay a church tax, unless you officially left the church. They use part of that money to maintain the old buildings.

 

They don't have that here for anything, there are too many different religions and sub religious. There are at lest two public holidays each month because some religious community has a Holyday.

So that's cool.

 

Yeah, sometimes I wish I was Catholic, they have a few holidays more than us Northern heathen.

 

Today would be a holiday too, by the way, if it wasn't a Sunday already.

Here everybody gets a holiday even if they are not of that religion.

It's the same with Christmas this year. It falls on a weekend, and New Year's as well.

I'm actually okay with the amount of public holidays. I still get 35 days of vacation a year.
