    Oh yeah!. Lots of farms and pastures. Lots of construction, Developments, mostly wide open space. My cul-de-sac has 7 homes, all on an acre or more

    It was and the time was right. Interest rates were at an all time low and home prices were off the charts. We lucked into our house. My old home was good size, but now yard space and we shared a driveway. Plus there were 16 homes on my block, 8 on each side.

    The adjustment was loss of friends and a larger lawn to cut.

    I still don't know how i feel about NC. Definitely an adjustment. The pace is so much slower than what I'm used to and that is hard to deal with. Also, the area i moved to is very rural compared to what I'm used to. Everything i could ever want or need was within 5 mins. Now I have to drive 15 mins to get to a convenience store. 20-25 for a grocery store. :nooo:

    I will say that with our move, there are more options for stuff to do. A lot of breweries are in the area and good restaurants.
