    Agree. But there weren't that many votes, I'm sure if there had been like 20-30 the voting would have been spread around more.

    I think your sig was good technically only the pic you chose let it down. Personally I don't like the mixing of script fonts but that probably doesn't register with most people, so I'd guess it's the pic and the lack of eye contact that was most of it. Plus she looks like she's scratching an itch, or trying to remember where she put her keys :laugh:

    But you can dissect any entry looking for "flaws":
    GUI's (#4)
    background too wishy washy
    type colours all a bit dull
    her skin looks a little pasty

    AFX's (#5)
    boring type
    weird cutoff/transition from left image to right
    border too strong

    merlin's (#1)
    stretched pic
    stretched type (plus the edges look rough, no anti-aliasing?)
    SOTW all in caps in script looks weird and is hard to read

    None of these are wrong, everything is a matter of individual taste. And there's no predicting how the voting will go anyway! When you're making an entry specifically to win (I don't always-- 164, 169) try as you might to tailor the submission to prevailing taste it's still a crap shoot every week.

    I often have no clue what the winner is going to be. Usually it's either I don't think it's going to be mine then I do win, or I'm confident it will be mine and I lose by a big margin..... and the winner turns out to be one I'd never have picked :shrug:

    Congrats to you too TO.. so weird that we both used pics from the same shoot! Never seen that one before, only a few variations of the one I picked.

    Was surprised to see only the two entries, thought Rachel Bilson was more popular. I'm hoping since 'vintage' can be interpreted in so many different ways there will be a wide range of interpretations. We'll see I guess!
