It seems like we have gone full circle many times on this topic. The fact is RS SUXS for users outside the Northern Hemisphere like I am neither speed nor reliability. Enjoy your uploads downloads who cares!

 

i think rapidshare is fast another file hosting websites are really slow and i can solve the limit problem solutions is simple just reset modem

 

Modem? I am on fixed IP unless I choose another plan and move to ADSL WBTW suxs here because of limited bandwith. Else unless you have a list of good and reliable proxys for me to use

Saugen from rapidshare and sexupload for free users are not really limited in speed. Megaupload is too slow.

 

RS is pretty fast for me (like 1.5 MB/s - half my max speed), but they increased the delay between 2 downloads (used to be 120+ min a month ago, now is 190+ min)... So RS is rather slow if you consider the delay between downloads... Overall I'd say it's not better nor worse than most other file hosts. The only problem is that it's so overused compared to other hosts.

A rapidshare account cost me £4.66. I uploaded all my site rips and now have over 50,000 points. I have been able to extend my account for free for nearly a year now and cant see this ending soon! I download all my music and dvds from rapidshare and i have a 20MB internet connection, so i can pretty much downloaded a dvdrip in about 5 minutes.

I must download over £200 worth of music and about £500 worth of films and tv programmes a month, which i dont have to pay a penny for...

Rapidshare is the best thing in the world!

 

Although i disagree with that level of piracy i do agree, rapidshare rocks.

 

Rapidshare Free have good download speed, but i don't like becouse the waiting time between downloads. I can't change my IP number becouse the type of conexion i have.
But what it real sucks is can't upload files over 100 MBs.

 02. Close all your Firefox windows and restart it.

Megaupload requires you to download and install an alexa toolbar to get unlimited downloads.
Once you install the alexa toolbar the user agent is sent to megaupload as Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar).
What we here do is change the user agent and make it seem like we have already installed the toolbar. So the download slots are always available for us.
They do track IPs but once the toolbar is installed they dont bother about the IP addresses.
Its an advertising ploy used by megaupload to make user install its toolbar.[/SIZE]
