I'm watching the Detroit Tigers baseball game now. No score yet -- at Texas.

 

Back.....just the two of us...

 

I got my shoes wet this afternoon.....and they were filthy....so I washed them....ran max extract, then put them in the oven as low as it would go 170F....I am now letting them cool and continue to dry....will put them on so they can reform to my feet in a few minutes.....they are still a little damp........they are my only casual shoes as all my other shoes are boots...:?....guess I need to get another pair....and maybe a cheap pair of canvas type shoes from Payless for future pressure washing.

 

Canvas shoes are good for dirty work. You can put tennis shoes in the washer -- on delicate, with a bunch of old towels in there too.

 

I threw out all my old tennis/sports type shoes several months ago ...... they had set in my closet for years ..... would have saved a pair if I knew I was going to buy the pressure washer...duh....maybe I can find a suitable pair of cheap slip-ons. I have no shoes that have laces....goes back to all those years I could not reach my feet to tie them. That is no longer the case, but slip ons are still soooo much easier.

 

I don't have any more slip-ons or flip-flops. And I have no idea why.

 

I had one pair of flip-flops I tried to see if they would work for the dog walk tonight.....nope....feet slip all over and off of them, plus I am sure I would have a blister between the toes on each foot. I just removed them and put my damp shoes on.....figure the warmth of my feet will help them dry and by wearing them while they dry, they will better form to my feet. We shall see....

 

My boots are over the ankle type with zippers......just started wearing them again in 2001 when I got my bike.....used to wear boots exclusively in my earlier life when I had bikes.

 

I'm going to take the dogs out for a quickie. BRB...

I changed over to Criminal Minds, 'cause the Tigers are losing. I'll check back on them later.

 

I used to be an avid sports fan, but just got tired of my teams letting me down.......so now I am a casual observer. Many times I cannot watch of University of Florida game, so I just channel surf by it to keep up with it......did that for the tournament in which we won back to back national championships in mens basketball. This is my way of avoiding stress.

 

Hey, we're the same about that! I'm exactly that way, especially with the Red Wings and U. of M. football! I get too stressed out to watch if they're doing badly!

Some people just don't understand that....I am still very much a Gator fan.....love the school and their sports programs. My mother started working in the athletic department in 1952 and retired the end of 1979....I grew up in that family. Plus my uncle was the Gator golf coach for years winning at least on national championship, maybe two. But I just get too stressed out watching them play.....I finally realized that not only did I not enjoy it, but actually did not like it. I can only watch if it is a lopsided game in our favor. So I don't watch.
