So far, the Honda engines are not doing that well......

 

crap....rain again.....:?

 

I don't follow the engines -- does Honda make inferior racing engines?

 

It was a short delay......

 

Honda and Chevy are the only engine providers for the Indy series.....Franchitti had a Honda engine that blew up on the warm up lap and currently the first five cars are Chevy powered...after that the mix is pretty even.

 

I am going to lay down to finish watching the race....see you tomorrow evening before work, PM.....

Not much, just winding down. How ya feeling? Better I hope.

 

Definitely better tonight. I'm watching You've Got Mail ('cause I'm a sucker for Meg Ryan) and relaxing.

You do house work today?

 

I'm caught up in another Clive Cussler novel (a friend at work loaned me a box of them!). I'll start reading at a little after 4, then fall asleep at 6 and dream about Meg Ryan if I'm lucky.

 

Meg is definitely a cutie.

Got the porch stained yesterday. Now I have to stain and install the new steps I built. I'll post some pics when I'm all finished in a couple days.

Today my sister and I hung out at the Illinois Railway Museum for 8 hours while her son worked in the steam shop. He volunteers there on Saturdays. Pretty cool place. It's grown immensely sine my last visit 33 years ago! Took a bunch of pics, though I fear they're not very inspired. Haven't reviewed them on the computer yet, so who knows?

Afterward we had supper then went to a town called Rochelle where there's a very busy rail crossing of the Union Pacific and the BNSF railroads to watch trains. We saw 8 freights in about an hour's time. If you like railroad action it's a good place to go. At any rate, we hit the road at 8 am and got back around midnight. About a 200 mile round trip all together.

 

Cool! Whose idea was the trains?

 

I really dig Cussler. I believe I've read all but a couple of the Dirk Pitt novels, and 3 or 4 of his newer ones with the spy ship. Excellent reading, he's a great storyteller.

 

I think Juan Cabrillo's spy ship is the ultimate in awesome writing ideas.

 

My sister actually. She and her son have been out to Rochelle a few times in the past. When my nephew started volunteering at IRM last year I had expressed interest in seeing it again if/when I ever got back to Chicago. My sister figured doing the two would make a good daytrip. She was right.

Can't argue with that. And an interesting cast of characters too.
