Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Somebody here was nice enough to give me CS5 extended blah blah.

    I never use it. I loved cs2, but each succesor has been more bloatware and annoying to me. I stick with my gimp 2.8 and about 4000 scripts, plugins, brushes and templates and it's STILL only 1/5 CS5s sizelol.

    pay attention to what you have set as temp files

    Mint 13 Maya + Debian Sid. I'm having a terrible time with kernel 3.x and my nvidia. I can stick on any 2.6.3x kernel flavor with nvidia 256.xx and every thing is sweet. Any 3.x and I'm hardlock screwed. Getting pretty fed up, actually.

    gimp works exactly like photoshop, except you use scripts to do tasks instead of popups. Although, most of gimps more modern scripts run applets which make it much more ps-like.
