Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I suspect to do what I want to do, I will have to modify each frame. I would like to create the background in jpg, convert to gif, then perform the modification to each slide. I am not interested in a "moving body," just some special effects.....like lightening. Maybe I can use one of my lightening gif and figure a way to cut/paste into my master gif....:dunno: we shall see....one day! :p

    The gif portion is made up of 90 slides or something. I wanted to move the gif to the right a little, but I would have had to line up each of the 90 slides individually the way I was doing it. There wasn't an intuitive way to move them all at once, so I gave up

    I am not at all familiar with GIMP...I use Coral Graphic Suite, have used it for almost 15 years. The gif software is called "Animation Shop."

    You need to talk to Cold about that....I remember some chats he had on his gif work and I think he may have a way to help save you a bunch of work. Would not hurt to ask.
