    That would account for you being closer to the Gulf. Besides we have that cold air coming from the Midwest on this go round. Oh well, it is January.

    This is true....we usually don't get a hard freeze before January. The Gulf does not help north central FL when the fronts come from the northwest......the cold air does not go over the Gulf before it gets here. I think it is more a factor of just being that much more further south.

    I can agree with that. There were flurries a little south of us last night. Not tonight though, too dry. >30% humidity. The skies looked just before sunset.

    This is true.....I also have been waiting for a good cold snap to make my large leaf oaks drop the rest of their leaves......looks like next week I can pick them all up at one time. ;)

    I have a lot of yard work to do in January.....cutting back the crape myrtles, roses, etc. as well as picking up all the leaves and shredding them for mulch.
