Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     looks like it wasnt the new xorg 1.11 that killed my linux install, but the new 290.03 nvidia driver

    nope, same damned hard crash using the 285.05.09 drivers I been using for months, maybe it is xorg after all

    Hi PM, naw I'll get it. there's a long issue string, looks like xorg blames nvidia, nvidia waits on xorg, I have to run the live cd to grab the new xorg Xorg(1.11.1.901-2) instead of my current 1.11.01....sigh then use the new nvidia 290.03 drivers and everything will be happy happy again. I blame xorg for it, although they responded with a fix in just 8 days, (which is quite laudable imo). I just linux would bite the bullet and accept that drivers are closed source.

    still don't know what's wrong though. gonna try and pour some extra oil in the diesel to get some lubrication in the pump. it may be something that is sticking a bit

    If it runs fine once it warms up, do you think a problem with compression? Losing comp. would make it sluggish.

    yeah, I have checked that, no problem there. The only thing I could imagine is that the ignition is one whole turn wrong... but I would guess that should affect the other two cylinders too
