Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     too ad to my previous post Opeth started like a simple death metal band lots of growling and stuff like that. Eventually the singer wanted too work more with the fact that i actually could sing pretty darn good cleanly as well, that and the fact that he is a huge fan of Dream Theater made the band to make a transistion too more melodious metal. And yes he has also worked with Ayreon.

    it started at the same time when they produced a few albums with Steven Wilson form Porcupine tree. He told "Micke" to use his clean vocals more. So they tried and all of a sudden they have a bigger range too work with musically.

    I guess the same goes for a guy like Devin Townsend that does both clean and cookiemonster growling so good.
