    This has really been a crazy year for storms. I saw a report on the Weather Channel yesterday about a hail storm the destroyed 80% of the glass cielings at the Chicago Botanical Conservatory. Shattered glass falling from above just hacked the hell out of the plants. They think it will take years to fully clean up. Wild. It's not even safe to walk around in the greenhouses because loose glass continues to fall from time to time. What a nightmare for those people who work there.

    They said it was half dollar to golfball size. I don't think I've ever seen hail that big. It takes an enormous amount of energy to create hail that size.
