Hey Inuk, how'd your meeting go, was is it yesterday?

 

the meeting was on Tuesday there bama.

the Manager of Human Resources and the President were both very impressed with my Resume and my References. we sat down and talked for a good 30 minutes but it went by very fast. we had a very good conversation and they advised me that the Chief Operating Officer is not back from Holidays until next week so the Interview is the next step.

but they are both very happy that a qualified Inuit Beneficiary is applying for the position. I told them that I am looking forward to hearing from them and that the next step in the process is the Interview process and I understood that.

so the next couple weeks should be interesting.

 

gotcha, wasn't here at all yesterday.

Sounds promising, maybe the salary will be where you want it to be.

I've been thinking again here lately about looking for something else too. Getting tired of this place.

 

yeah that's the other part of the equation, what kind of money the are going to offer me versus what I am going to ask for if they offer me the job.

You'd think it'd be less since you're going from being over 5 to 1 but maybe not.

Not many other things right now unless I'd be willing to travel unfortunately. There's other things I could definitely do but I'd be taking a big salary hit. Can't afford that right now.

 

well the thing is that if I do go with them it is Private Enterprise and this Contract is the biggest one of all my Airports. and this is an Inuit Owned Company that I am looking at joining, so it is going to be an interesting couple of weeks.

damn, I understand where you are coming from. couple years ago I took a salary hit to try that other job with the Fuel but it was a good 18 months.

I gassed up my Truck this morning. there was some damn gas in the snow at the gas pumps, my damn shoes still smell like gasoline. washed them then sprayed some lysol on them, still kinda stinky.

yeah I made up for it in overtime at the fuel job there bama.

we'll see how these negotiations will go. I'm a little disillusioned where I am right now so I do anticipate some interesting talks.

I think I just need to take a couple days off while the kids are in school and the wife's at work. Downtime that I can do whatever the hell I want to do always helps.

I'm not sure what's up with the Awards there Cold.

I know Jamms mentioned around the New Year that he was going to count them but not sure what's going on there.
