whew, tired here.

went out Caribou hunting this afternoon. my Families Cabin is about 15 miles out of town. my Bro has a 18 foot boat with a 60 horsepower motor.

we put my Moms 350 Honda into the boat. it was a tight fit but we had it in. brought it out there around 1:30pm. went out on the Tundra. drove about 5 miles inland. ran into a caribou. I shot it, my Bro and I butchered it. we drove again, my Bro saw two more. he shot them, again, butchered it. started going back to the cabin, ran into one more bull caribou. I shot it.

was pulling all the quartered caribou on the sled behind the ATV. but we had room. since the caribou skins this time of year are great for drying we had all the skins on the front rack of the ATV. we had 2 full caribou legs and shoulders on the back rack. it was busy.

drove back here around 8pm. had a bite to eat, then went up to the River and pulled out the fish nets we had placed a couple days ago. have a lot of fish so we pulled the nets out.

fresh caribou meat and fresh fish. very good stuff!
