Emma Watson has recently acquired a large part of her hair cut. This to the consternation of many fans and fappers. It appears, however, be more than a fashion statement.

The actress is preparing to star win for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," based on the book by Stieg Larsson. The character, Lisbeth, is a maverick, a gothic, with short hair.

Watson is not the only one who wants the role. Ellen Page, Natalie Portman, Carey Mulligan and Kristen Stewart are also in line to play in the movie by David Fincher.
