Every character counts, so if you have a pic URL that has 50 characters you could post 600 pics in one post

 

30,000. Just fill a post with as much imagecode as you want and then click "preview post." If you exceed the limit a message will tell you by how many characters. I discovered it while creating the index for the Encyclopedia of 10,000 Women.

 

Saw that too, and glad i saved the imagecodes so i could split them into two ones.

 

Just don't put too much youtube vids in one post, browsers don't like it that much. Some may remember my first version of my 30K milestone

So what is the word on the current restore of the database and posts? Looks like we've gone from losing 18+ hours to losing 36+ hours?????

Indeed, I believe the plan was to revert back even further to fix the various issues that were present even before the attempted upgrade (ex. members list, style chooser, and various other small problems). I'd guess that this will be the last rollback since those issues are fixed now.

 

:tired: A heads up would've been nice. That way we would've at least known what was going to get erased.

Yes you can its basicaly the same rules as Always if the posts isnt in the database its OK too post again. Off course someone else might beat you too it since it applies for everyone.

 

That is indeed what happened, as I touched on in my Do Over thread.

We had no idea what was going to get erased. Fortunately it was just a bunch of porn and stuff, and not any life changing epiphanies.

Concerning the Roll-Back:

Yes it would have been nice to have a heads up, but sometimes things are decided upon and need to be decided quickly and on the spare of the moment.
More often to stop even more downtime for us guys.

I find now changes in pages are lightning fast (so far), so lets look at the positive and hope we have had a Big Fix here.

One thing that has happened, is all the threads I saw this morning (Aussie time) & thanked, I actually haven't thanked. Just saw a thread that I frequent, & thanked earlier today, & guess what? The thanks button is "unclicked"?? Strange, very strange.
