Same here. Well, I see the thumb here, but the link to the actual gif leads to a 404.

Thanks, it seems it doesn't work with Gfycat yet though at least not in the bulk downloading way (from the Phun page) as Hayaddict probably meant. It grabbed yours at DYP probably because the link leads directly to a gif. But, with Gfycat the url doesn't indicate that any kind of gif or video might be there so the link doesn't get followed. If you use the addon from the Gfycat page, it does find it then because there's a direct link to either the html5 video or the gif depending on which you have selected.

Neither DYP or Gfycat are in it's list of "supported" hosts so it just does what it can when it sees something that looks like media. To get the downloaders to work optimally, they need to know how the hosts urls are structured and where on the page to find the actual image.

But, oh well.

okay, lets try this.

i'm thinking what has happened is, when i upped the gifs to dumpy, i posted them on Phun, i deleted them off dumpy, which , ( i think ), means that dumpy don't keep them in a data base....

 

Sounds logical, they work here now Also, "dumpy" is such a better abbreviation than DYP.

 

You deleted them and then you're wondering why did they disappear?

By deleting them from your account you delete them from database. Isn't it the same with every other imagehost? It is the same on Imagebam and every other host that I have used.

no, i have always upped a gif to an image host, copied link, and that was that, so when someone clicked on the pic, or link, they would then see the gif image, so, its obvious that other image hosts store the upped gif on their database but Dumpy seems to be doing it differently, probably to save on bandwidth....

 

well, seems they are still there, will remember not to delete them, can only drink one bottle of Crested Ten tonite, ah well....
