Too often we learn, often belatedly, that those that we've admired and envied for their brilliant intellect and wit have suffered silently with bi-polar disorders, Asperger's syndrome and other debilitating psychiatric conditions.
But let's not forget those that suffer similarly, but who aren't blessed with brilliance or wit!

People are stunned that these celebs and influencers are paid for these posts and vacations? Guess naivety is still a thing in 2019.

They for some reason (can't see why) look up to these "Celebrities", they want to be like them, believe they say.

They A,B or C use this cream or buy that jacket and they think they like that jacket, i'll get one too, when in reality they're paid to
promote. Yes it's nothing new they did it in the 1920's with Hollywood Stars, it was obvious advertising.

Now its fine tuned onto your phone 24/7.

Its come a long way from the Mad Men of the 1950/60's.

If they're upfront with their "Fans" fair enough, spend your money.

But say you're being paid to say this.

    Meanwhile
    After frozen football tonight.

I'm starting The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel S1 ep1

    See you tomorrow.

Please be careful, as I'm seeing a spate of bad knee injuries among people I know or follow on SM in the past month or so and I know you have a tricky knee.

Morning, still frozen but its still like Summer compared to what Canada & NE US
is going through, so i'll shut up about it being freezing.

I've never been into getting up at 5am to go to the gym, but my Doctor has
given me Physio exercises to help strengthen the muscles around my knee
to make them less hyper mobile.

So i think i might start going to the gym after work.

    Because

A/ I'm already paying for it
    &
B/ There's a brilliant Real (as opposed as "Old World Pub" coming out of a box) Victorian Pub across the
road from the gym, so after the gym i can go and get a drink and then feed my face.

Ok actor from a UK Soap (Guy) who goes to the gym tried to (in a 1970's term) "Chat me up", but after his third
attempt i think he got the message and yes on one of his three attempts he told me.

    "You're tall".

    Meanwhile
I was freezing, we were freezing, my mate said "I can't feel my arse".
    But i didn't fall over!

After i got to my friends house after football and i defrosted, we watched the first two episodes of
    [IMG]
Loved it!!!! loved the music, so much so i think i might be turning into a
stereotypical Gay (btw i'm not Gay or bi, i'm me) who loves "Show Tunes".

So much so i got this morning, got out of bed and sang "I enjoy being a girl"
and promptly tripped over my own feet and ended up on the floor.

I think my flatmate may be glad she's moving out next week.
I'm from the future like a Terminator with a hyper mobile knee.

I brought the "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" S1 Soundtrack.

I think i may of been mouthing along to this on the Underground this morning.

Thinking of "tricky knees" reminds me of another Graham Norton Show in the last year or two (again? - this guy is obsessed! [Editor]), in which a seated lady guest leaned forward and lifted her lower leg anti-clockwise through 180 degrees until it was straight up from her knee rather than the normal straight down position! Everybody including me, and doubtless loads of other viewers winced and cringed. She wiggled her toes to demonstrate that it wasn't a false leg, and when asked, reassured us that it didn't hurt, and that she'd been able to do it since she was a child - only the one leg though! Everybody was relieved when she returned her leg to its normal position.

I can't help wondering how stable that knee was in normal use?

But curiously, I can't now find the episode or incident via Google, and I don't remember who the lady was? Someone else might be able to throw some light?

    PS
This is not the lady I've described above, but is cancer survivor, Jen O'Shea, who can also rotate her right leg a full 180 degrees with no pain or effort at all so that her foot is facing the ceiling.

I'm good, but not that good.
    Thank you.

    Meanwhile
Going to Burns Night on Friday with my Sister, bring on the Haggis!

Then the two of us are going to Brighton.

Next week, my old flatmate leaves & new one arrives.

    More tomorrow.

I'm not gay or bi and I might not even be me, but I love show tunes and think their appeal is universal.

    This is a favorite...

Thank you!!!! I loved that, I've never seen that before, but i must check out "Guys and Dolls".

One thing i find sad about my generation and younger is they seem to lack a P.O.R (Point of Reference).
They have more knowledge than ever before in history at their fingertips & yet they're clueless on so much.

I have friends i've mentioned things to and i get a blank expression in return as if i'm talking
about some ancient history, i love discovered new old things.

I was always thought to have a enquring mind, ok that has its drawback's.
I came home aged 10 and asked "What's a footjob?", i was told its Chiropody.

It doesn't help when media/magazines etc refer to "way back in 2016".
I remember something about "Glee", i never watched it but when i heard this.
I went "WHAT", they had featured a mash up of "Singing in the Rain" & Rihanna's "Umbrella".

The morning after on Twitter, fans were saying its a brilliant new song, Glee has written this new song
with Rihanna, when is this new song being released?
all without any sense of irony.

The mash up was actually very good.

In any generation there are many that have no POR, but there are always plenty that do. It's just more noticeable when people lack it these days because of social media.

    That's just my 2 pennies.

Also, I love a good mashup, this one's a favorite and involves a show tune...

I love Mash up's, I remember my Sister having a Mini Disc full of them.

I guess I've always had a enquiring mind, I see 20Something Reality "Celebrities" appearing on Quiz shows & they are completly clueless beyond their immediate point of reference.

For previous generations, you actually had to make a real effort to learn more, look it up in a book, go to a library.

Now all it takes is one search on Google.

    Oh yes please

True enough. I had a friend back in the day who was always up on the latest tech and I was always curious how he got his info, he never divulged his secret though.

I'm sure you've heard this classic but it's my favorite mashup

I love Mac D! That reminds me I still need to see Izzy Gets The Fuck Across Town.
