Is Chloe Moretz Cameron in this? Or is it the other girl she hooks up with in this(who is fine btw:yumyum:). And maybe I will come off perverted(maybe not, considering the place lol), but Chloe seemed like a real natural in her girl-girl scenes am I right? I've seen her make out with guys onscreen and IDK, it just seems like she holds back with them but in this she was all-in and comfy. Just me? Food for thought, and if you don't like Chloe just watch the movie and pretend it's Emma or Kristen:shifty::tup:

Hey Soph!!! Heard on the radio today that there's a pub in London offering an avocado infused beer. The pub is called the Longarm. Are you familiar with this one and can you critique the beer?

Hi, wifi/4G coverage down here is "quiant", too many hills (and i mean a lot of hills) & not enough population to justify relay beacons.
That's Chloe (went off her when her BF was Brooklyn "I have no talent other than my name" Beckham) but this movie is worth seeing.
Aside from Chloe being with another girl, the attempt to "Reprogramme" someone because of their Sexuality is scary.
That's weird, i've heard so much about avocado infusions recently.

Not sure on avocado beer, but if they were giving away free samples i might try it.
There again i didn't think i'd like Mango Coke but loved it, but can't stand Pach Coke.

Guess its down to indivdual tastes.

For those of you who don't know England or Cornwall, here's a map.

We're on the coast between Newquay and St.Ives, i love it down here, but perhaps its good i don't live here as i love there cheesey chips & i'd end up fatted.

Loved St.Ives, its like a like a film set, but i think in Season its a victim of its own success.

I'm glad we'll be here for the Armstice, we'll be going into Truro for 11am on our way back to London.

    Pics to follow of beaches.

My heart goes out to the innocent person killed & those injured in the city of my birth.

Yes, yes it is scary. I'm unfortunately somewhat near a famous congregation whose whole platform is 'Gay is evil' to the most extreme, so the whole gay conversion BS is something I know of. Ugh, I hate this place sometimes(more by the day).

Mmmm, roaring fire. Sounds good considering the winter temps that have moved in... plus, one of the heaters at work is broken so we feel it indoors as well:ugh: enjoy the comfort:tup::winter:

This facet of human ignorance goes back a long way, with the apparent historic belief that it was possible to "cure" homosexuality! There were many who believed one could be "converted" to homosexuality, or indeed "catch it", like chicken pox or measles presumably, which heightened their entirely justifiable fear of paedophiles by irrationally equating them with homosexuals! A lovely gay lady that I knew a while back admitted to me that she was terrified of coming out publicly for fear of what her parents would think. I did my best to convince her that being gay wasn't a perverse and wilful lifestyle choice she'd made, but was her inherent nature, and she'd be forever unhappy were she to suppress or reject it. She took the plunge, and things went well!

For those totally unfamiliar with geography, the vast majority of the British Isles lies predominantly to the north-west of the bit in white.

North-west of Cornwall would be Wales and Ireland, i take it you feel they are the important bits of the British Isles?
I don't want to question your knowledge of geography of course, but England and Scotland are a fairly big part too... ;)

Love Scotland, Love Ireland, been to Wales & loved Liverpool.

But I have friends living in London that are so Londoncentric that their maps do fade out North of Watford.

When coming on promotion from the North to work in London temporarily many years ago, my accent was the source of some amusement, and Londoner colleagues alleged suspicion about the existence anything of significance North of Watford Gap.
I suggested that they were totally out of date, and clearly were still working to the ancient maps which suggested that North of Watford Gap "There Be Dragons". Has nothing changed?

A pedant after my own heart! I did indeed wonder whether I should say North and West, rather than simply Northwest, but went for the shorthand. I'm reminded that during my temporary employment mentioned above (5 years) in The City, I was once asked by a somewhat ancient lady Clerical Assistant Londoner to resolve a family argument, and she asked me whether Canvey Island was east of London? It happened that my wife and I had briefly considered living there so I was able confidently to say that it was almost exactly due East of London, to which she asked the supplementary question as to why if that was the case had she heard it frequently referred to as being in the South East! ;)

I come from Australia, so I'm a stranger wherever I go & I quite like it that way. I've never had this feeling of being home even when I've back in Australia.

As I mentioned I have friends that are really Londoncentric, (I call it insular) when it's outside of London or in some cases outside there bit of London it all gets a bit vague.

    Bye Cornwall
    [IMG]

We're in Truro now, we wanted to be here for 11am for the Armistice to be at the War Memorial
to be there for the minute the Great War ended.

“What passing bells for these who die as cattle?
Only the monstrous anger of the guns
What candles may be held to speed them all?
Not in the hands of boys but in their eyes
Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes”

Wilfred Owen - Died one week before the Armistice was declared.

We're going to have a look around Truro and then head back to London.

I must have been high on caffeine or be losing touch with reality! Even when you queried it the penny didn't drop, and I ask myself, did I really write that and my response? :dunno:
Of course I meant Northeast, or North and East, and I was only 180° out after all!

I realize at this point i am only providing further proof of just how pedantic i am, but northwest and northeast are only 90 degrees away from each other... :gramps:

On the plus side, you are only half as wrong as you thought you were!! :sorry:

I cried my eyes out at 11am at the time Armistice was declared, my Great Grandad was in the Boer War & the Great War,
he survived the First World War, but was never the same man again. My Grandad was in the Second World War, he survived.

Its 12:30pm now and they're ringing Church bells all over the UK to market the end of the Great War.

    :rip::(
I heard stories about ancestors who served in the first World War, one of them was gassed in the trenches and spent the rest of his life in a hospital as a result. I heard that at his funeral he looked like he had barely aged due to the effects of it. One of my great uncles lost a close friend at Pearl Harbor, they all served(mainly in the Pacific). And they were never the same, it was common knowledge after the war ended to not ever wake them up from a sleep because it never left them and they were basically right back in battle in their sleep and could legitimately kill when they woke. And my Moms possible true love served in Vietnam, when he came back he was never the same and moved out to the middle of nowhere, it was always something that haunted her because they both had a future planned out together(I actually was partly named after him, unbeknownst to my dad) but the war and what you see as a result changed him to the core. I guess the point of all this is, war is hell. It's not something to celebrate or root for like some politicos seem to do, it's not some rite of passage, it doesn't prove how tough of a guy you are to declare war. It's hell on earth, something that should be avoided like a plague. And when those dates come to mark the beginning or the end of any war, we should mourn and cry much like you are Sophie. Mourn for how awful humanity can be, mourn for the innocent killed and permanently scarred, mourn for all those who died far too young. And hope to whatever you believe in that we don't go through it again, because we're all losers when it comes to war. No matter how just the reasons or cause, war is a zero sum game.
