Sweden didnt play their best team. It was a deliberate choice from the coach to let the americans win. We wanted Canada in the knock out phase.

Speaking of power plants i remember a year back when russias floating nuclear barge passed by close to our coast. It was on a journey from st petersburg and on its way far east in siberia. Both sweden denmark and norway wasnt pleased by it. The actual plant wasnt active at the time but still a hazardous endeavor.

    Name akademik lomonosov.

Well it was on a large naval excercise with the Royal russian army. Due to problems with one of the torpedoes that were to warm it exploded and sunk to the bottom of the ocean. All onboard died. It has since been salvaged and are in dry docks at Murmansk. It was a new sub that was a bit of a pride projekt if i recall correctly. So even if the crew men reported the problem with the torpedo to their superiors it was decided it should take part in the excersise. Not to far of what happened in Chernobyl. People warning the superiors that something is wrong but still things should be run as normal. And honest hard working families are ruined as a result.

Completed seeing Chernoybl last night, really bleak but excellent, I want to read up/see more of the background now.

There's a irony of a State that believed their own lies so much they became fact. Orwell was right, get to them to the stage where they don't know the difference between facts and lies, "alternative facts".

But then you get to the tale of "The Little boy who cried Wolf".

Been in the sun on my little roof garden (remember it from last summer?) I must be Mother of Cats (notice I didn't say mother of pussy) 4 neighbourhood Cats I haven't seen before came to say hi (no food given), no sign of lurker neighbour from last summer.

That might have something to do with the fact I shouted at him last September that I have video of you spying on me.

Tonight my wifie will be here to see the Australian game, I didn't invite the girls from the football team I play for. I know they'd be here until tomorrow's England game.

    Migaine update: Nearly gone

Why am I not surprised at this? Mind you the majority of "Them" probably haven't actually seen the whole series (it has a happy ending, good defeats evil with the help of evil)
let alone which devil worshipping network produced it (Amazon and the Demon BBC), one series I was surprised that didn't receive the same reaction was "The Chilling
Adventures of Sabrina", which in their terms of "Blasphemy" was way ahead of "Good Omens"

Clearly David Tennant & Michael Sheen reached parts that Sabrina didn't.

To paraphrase Kirk in Star Trek V "How do they know God isn't a Woman"?

You'd think penalty kicks would be the easiest thing at first glance, but then you realize the massive mind game that comes with it, pondering all the possibilities of where the goalie will go and how the ball will turn when you hit it and etc. The nerves, especially on that stage, I couldn't handle that.

No kidding i have seen players that normaly are clinical penalty takers that completely freezes up and cant hit the goal if it was the size of a hangar. Of course i do like Zidanes solution to it. First vomit up your intestines then bury the goal in the net.

My heart sank when I saw what happened to Sam Kerr (out of all the players her!!!) penalties are nightmares but they're now even harder with this new Goal Line rule, (that combined with VAR), I'm glad the English FA won't be enforcing the new rule with VAR.

    Meanwhile

And its between 32-29c in the Stadium.

    England are through:):):):)
I don't know what game Cameroon were playing but it wasn't the game I know.

Apart from their reaction to the offside goal and the VAR decision, they fouled, pushed, spat and they disgraced themselves.

The Ref was pathetic and lost control, it should of been a Red Card at the end and several Yellow cards at half time.

I would have thought the heat would have been an advantage for Cameroon, but the talent gap was too much I suppose. Even though we are all sad about your Matildas not advancing(unless you're Norwegian), at least you're spared being torn in half (figuratively speaking)by an England-Australia match:empathy:

Edit: Spat? Damn, that's harsh, what the hell could have inspired that reaction. Some unsavory things said on the field?

It wasn't entirely on talent, England made mistakes (and will get punished next time if they do it again), from the beginning Cameron were playing dirty (which the Ref all but ignored) but Cameroon lost their heads when the VAR disallowed their offside goal.

The England v Cameroon game will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, but although I'm delighted England got through and kept their cool throughout, they must improve the quality of their passing!
Unforced errors abounded, and I'm not sure that more than 50% of passes hit their mark - that's got to change against better opposition than today's!
But no matter who reaches the top in the end, this year's Women's World Cup looks like it'll be known as the VAR World Cup!
