Amateur X-Ray Thread (NEW)

This is my first post and C-through I have to say you do an amazing job. I fiddle with photoshop but I'm nowhere near your caliber. I know you prefer 3-4 pics per request. I don't expect you to do all of these. I just posted them so you can pick any you think could turn out. Keep up the awesome work.

Here's a quick example of what's possible



Generally, dark colors need to be brightened, and light colors need to be darkened before messing with the contrast. Once you have the details, then you can desaturate and colorize the pic close to normal. Spend some time and it'll come out even cleaner.

 

c-through, I'm guessing the color makes this no good, but no hurt in asking!

 

Bright color doesn't mean it's not possible. Often, those can come out great as there's no patterns to mask the details, but in this case I just can't see enough of it. If you desaturate the color, it keeps it from getting too washed out when you play with the brightness & contrast. In this case you can see there's padding on her top which hid most of the fine details from view. Off-angle views aren't usually the best either - straight on is best if you can get it.
