  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Frequently see in the vid forum that the same person has posted 20 topics rapidly all in row filling most of the first page themselves with one clip per post. Many times they are just reposts too turning other's clips into rars, probably for extra RS points. Ever gonna see an end to this? Lot of forums have timers on how often you can post and I usually dislike them but think this place could use it.

Cause it seems like spam to me. Lot of the best new stuff ends up buried within a few hours. If I have similar things to post I usually add them to the same topic. But has me tempted to start posting everything in its own topic and reposting stuff cause it doesn't seem like it matters here. Just wanted some thoughts on this...

What Azz said. Often there'll be someone who makes a heap of threads in a forum because they aren't online everyday. Brcook often posts 7-8 threads in the Model Forum in one whack, as does Booblover. I do it once a week in the Celeb Forum. That's just a few examples.

You do make a good point, as there are some who post a shitload that aren't of good standards. And that's what the Forum Issues thread is good for, then we can take a look at it.

i think we should talk about that issue again moderators, especially in the model forum!with the increasing members here at phun that will be a big problem.look at today, you make a new thread but most of the phunners dont have the time to see this thread, if 3-x members make another 10 threads a day,you are in ten minutes from site 1 on site 2,and we all know that most of the members dont look at page 2....i dont understand this, because in this way we contributors dont get the replys our posts deserve.
or maybe im wrong, maybe the other posters dont want any comments on their work...lets discuss this point!

its a fuckin shit that someone starts 30 threads on 1 day.....

and i am also against this part 1,2,3 threads, that make no sense in my opinion!

btw. for me its very interessting which pics a poster choose from of a 60 pics set, posting full sets,or even sort 1 pic out and spread the set over 3 threads is not hard, but to sort out the 20 pics you post is fun (for me)....

that was discussed many times before and will never happen and that is good!

i want an opinion on what do you think about limiting the threads a poster can start a day,and part 1,2,3,4 threads!

How about a limit on the number threads a person can make in the model forum per week?
    say 6 or so.
It may cut down the quantity, and increase the quality of the posts.

I think our position has been never to restrict ow many threads a person can make in any given day. Before our forum changed due to the big shock 2 pages of new threads in a 12 hour period was common, people realized that the threads they have not seen since their last visit will be highlighted in a darker blue. If your thread is well received it will usually get a reply to and will be bumped back up front. The whole key is to try and get the members to interact in your thread. I made a thread a couple months ago that explains a bit about things you can try and do to get them to reply to your threads.

We do have some members who make a lot of thread contributions, if the mods see an issue with how they are made then we shall remove the offending threads. Unless we start getting 3 pages of new threads in any 12 hour period i don't see a reason to split up the forums any further. A busy forum makes for more viewership and activities.

As far as multiple "parts" thread that is a nono, we never allowed people to do such a thing and will start enforcing it soon.

Cool. I was just going to point out that it totally defies the point of that rule.

you are talking about times when this community was a bit closer, and there where more commenting members.
at the moment i am the only one with 2 or 3 others who take a look on page 2 and after to bring a few back on the 1st page.
so its more than annoying if someone makes 30 posts on 1 day like today!

more threads equal more opportunities for people to comment about.

Look i am not here to argue with you about what this forum has gone through, what we have done here for the past 2 years plus. But i don't see a problem with people making threads. There are plenty of people who look past the first page, look at "who's online" and you will see that 75% of the people look at other things besides what is on the first page. That still equates to more than 300-400 people looking at it at all times.
