What about A Minimum of Pics for a new Thread/Post?

I think that's fair......10 pics should be the MINIMUM. 15-20 prefered. Unless it's amateur material or pics posted by one of the models (no restictions).

 

I think it may take away from the 2 or 3 real good existing threads to have a "dump thread" for amateur pics. I think we just need to suggest / enforce having members put "new" amateur pics into one of the existing threads.

 

Your right, it probably would be, but the work that Sancho, .jp and others have put in on their threads may suffer as a result (maybe)........input from those guys may help. They may also like to keep anyone from posting in their threads, that is where a dump thread MAY work.

We (mods) can always move some of the smaller 4-9 pic threads into a larger thread if we need to.....eliminating the small threads, but still keeping the members post count and work alive...........So I guess there are several options.

 

Not arguing with that in the slightest........but that's been kinda a ongoing issue for sometime now (at least since the "shock"), maybe longer.

Here are two things I think could happen with a "dump" thread.

1. Massive amounts of reposts. Nobody is going to bother checking to make sure that the material hasn't already been posted.

2. Banned material may end up in the thread(s) and it may be harder to ensure that that doesn't happen.

Tai, I think there could be an answer to THAT problem too, and I'm hoping that we move that direction soon. It would just take more focus on those threads, and right now we don't have the "staff" for that.

You may be right......it may not affect the other threads as much as I fear it could. That's why more input on this would be good.

 

the "problem" i see is:
it´s still a fact that own "threads" are more higher regarded as contributions to existing threads by others. not my opinion, but especially new members seem think its the best way to ... get themselves a name here. so asking them to add their stuff to existing threads won´t be that easy.
and we need "good-willing" new members.

Well my sentiments have always been quantity does not always equate to quality. I would rather see a thread with just 2-3 good pics if that is all they have than a thread with 20 pics of some gawd awful ugly girl. Since it is mainly arbitrary and is subjective by nature it is hard to do a clear cut distinction between what should be archived into a dump thread and what should not be. My two observations have been we don't get tons of new materials every day. Only seldom does the first page get filled with new threads. And secondly i have always trashed shitty thread titles with shitty content, What i really think we should do is open up a public dumpster for those threads we deem as sub-par. But then again even that is subjective to the mods/helpers involved.

I'm not sure what to do with such threads. Maybe move them together...like already mentioned such dump threads can cause slight problems, but if somebody would watch it, it can work...imo.

Public dumpster is a possiblity too...

I hadn't noticed this thread until now, so sorry for my delay in replying.

I think that a minimum of 10 pics per post is a good rule. I understand Azz's concern of quality over quantity, but it seems like 90% or more of the posts that are made with just a couple pics are SHITTY quality anyways, so I think that the 10 pic minimum is a good idea.

As for the dump thread idea, I would much rather see that implemented rather than having all the pics put into one of the other major threads that have been proudly worked on for a long time by their respecitve starter. I feel that these bigger threads would all of the sudden have the standard of the quality of their posts being reduced.

And furthermore, if people keep starting posts with a few pictures of bad quality, I don't think that it should be the mod's responsibilty to have to "move" the pictures to a dump thread. Why not just make life easier and delte the thread in the first place? That is, unless someone would actually enjoy looking through a dump post. Personally, I am not sure that I would.

 

We are rather talking about a dumpster sub-forum. So each thread would be speparated viewable in that forum.

 

public trash bin then. But i hate confining it to a 10 pic post minimum rule. I hate rules in general and the more we make it harder for our members to work through the less contributing members we will have.

I mean how many more rules do we really need to just post a thread? I just think we have alot as is and this isn't an issue that is going to kill people.


I say we have a public dumpster where all crappy threads get thrown into them, we can make a thread explaining it to people in the model, celeb, whatever forum we want to implement it and not set it as a hard rule, just a general "rule of thumb" that if they don't want to make a quality post it will be at our discretion to throw it into the crap forum.
