  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Please advise if this is in the wrong folder, or answered in some FAQ. I looked unsuccessfully.

I'm wondering if there is a brief how-to on viewing the downloaded videos(?)

I am able to down load the video clips with no problems. When I go to play them back I typically get audio only, but no video. I have attempted to use Windows media player, Quicktime and Nero Show time. With Nero, I'll typically get a pop up saying I need to upgrade to a new Mpeg4 version.

Also, I have not found a successful method to open the .rar format files. I have WinRAR and stuffit that appear to set up but do not fully open the files to play. I'll get various error messages.

    Thanks

    1. you need to be sure to have all parts of a vid.
    2. you need to be sure that none of the parts is corrupted (happens every now and then during the download)

as for viewing: could be a codec-issue. try
