Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

That was awesome. I would love to be in that.

But why do Americans always have to wave the flag? I can't actually remember any other record breaking car company waving their flag around. It always annoys me, it seems like they are telling us that America is better.

It's a cultural thing. Some folks are just proud to be an American, and that generally manifests itself in waving the flag.

They should be waving our flag as well really.

That is a modified Lotus Exige.

    Engine American....
    Almost Everything else British.

Engine built in America, then sent to England where Lotus modify the Exige chassis, implant the block into it and then test it about 22 miles from where I live at Silverstone Race Track.

When registered for the road it has to be called a Lotus Exige as Hennessy are only an engine performance Co. and not the car manufactuer.

I get it, but I never get that, "we did a thing, so now we wave the flag because of, well, America". Doesn't even make sense.

What does America have to do with what the guy did? I drove this car FUCKING FAST so here is THE FLAG to show you that yes, I am from America. And because this car went really fast, I am still American. I just don't get it.

I never really understood the whole pride in your nation thing either. It breeds elitism and separates people across the globe. You'd think that because I'm a Scot that I'd be fiercely proud to be one but I don't really have that instinct. I am happy for my countrymen when they do something amazing, but I'm equally as happy when someone from England, Japan or somewhere else does something amazing. And I haven't once ever felt teh need to wave a Scottish flag.

It's not an official World record though. NASA would only let them do one run, for it to be a World record you have to do 2 runs, one each way then an ave. speed of the 2 runs is taken.
