all I can say is through all my years experience in flying whenever you are sitting in a plane, even if they turn off the *fasten seat belt* sign. if you are going to be seated in your plane through the flight. keep your seatbelt fastened man!

you never know if you are going to hit a pocket of turbulence that could cause the plane to raise or lower up to 200 to 500 feet in a second. your seatbelt will keep you in place you safe. it will still hurt but it's better than slamming into the ceiling! especially during thunderstorms.

    damn dude why?

I have been in aviation for the past 15 years of my life. it's the safest way to travel. it's so regulated to the max that stat's so it is the safest way to travel. I know a lot of people have fears to do so.

but trust me with people like me keep it safe. you really shouldn't worry about it. I have worked with the Canadian Government to make sure it's safe, other Countries follow through with stringent rules. we go after rouge companies that cut corners that corners and put them to a stop.

I assure you Ray, it's very safe. dude, I seriously tell you we fight hard to strive to the best of safety. I've reported many rogues and it's safe.

honestly, it's the safest way to travel. numbers say so and it's true.

    - At work I experience emergencies in a cubicle - they aren't really emergencies. Air safety/life and death stuff is really an emergency.

    - Agreed, stay in your seats passengers. Where teh fuck do you want to walk to anyway?

    - Agreed, air travel is VERY safe.

when you are in the air, don't concentrate on the height you are at. I tell you to concentrate on the horizon. how high you are, don't worry about it. look at the clouds, you are just as high as the clouds that you are. there are 14 types of clouds.

you hit turbulence in clouds, think of it as a up and down motion. just like a rollercoaster which is safe as hell. up and down.

don't focus on the ground. look in front of you, up and down, no problem. which was weird was that after 5 year in my job I became a nervous flyer too. turbulence kinda freaked me out.

I thought of the times I became nervous on rollercoasters. I realized that if this coaster wasn't safe they wouldn't authorize it for use to the public. every flight has to be authorized for use to the public too.

it's not safe they wouldn't use the line. there is so many regulations for public flights they don't overdo use to fly the public. I have over 1500 hours flying the jump seat in the plane, the jump seat is where I would fly 3rd seat to the two pilots in the plane. the pilots are so professional up there, the first thing we learn is how many people we are flying that day every single leg. 1, 5, or 100 people on board.

    we are there for you.

trust me dude. you are the first people we think about.

    hope that helps.
